I've never used Traxxas fuel, but I I hear it can make your OWB slip from too much oil in it. Just an FYI if it starts slipping.

Its oily. Not nearly as bad as Blue Thunder though. It will do in a pinch, but I wouldnt make it my reg fuel.
I run Odonnell 30% race and really like it. I have 7 gal to burn beffore I switch to Byrons. Byrons is avail here now. I have to get OD by the case.

My buddy bought a traxxas slayer a month ago, and was running their 33%, well needless to say the connecting rod split in two, and the piston cracked in half from hydro locking b/c of all the oil in that fuel...i had it tuned perfectly for him so it wasnt the tune...i heard traxxas fuel is bad...also the guy at the hobby shop sold me blue thunder, when i bought my XL...after reading some reviews on it, i just lit the rest of the bottle on fire, and got some trinity fuel...i just ordered some O'Donnell fuel!!!!

Splitting the rod and piston isnt from hydro locking. The oneway or starter assy whatever type would break first. Esp that weak cheesy POS that comes on the 3.3s. Ez crap. Hydro locking is also at start up. Once the engine doesnt turn over, thats a clue. Stop! Sounds like a hard break in or a factory defect to me. I'm not a fan of Traxxas fuel, but I couldnt blame that on any fuel. Not even Blue Turd.

Sounds good hey (GRUMPY) or anyone if i do get O'donnell 30% fuel do i have to do something with the shims???? I heard something like that and also what glow plug do i go with i went with McCOY MEDIUM COLD am i correct pleaase name at least two of the best glow plugs for running Odonnell 30% on a savage x 4.6 thx for ur help guys been great.

I also run 30% O Donnell using o donnell plugs as well the purple dot one...lol works great for me never had any problems with this set up!!!
My brother likes the 33% from that other company but he does have alot of one way troubles....:jamout:
