Too Much Loktite!!!

AHHHH!

Hey all,

i'm just insalling the new hitec servo and savage X radio box to my 3.5 ...

however I did too good a job when I rebuilt it last time and now I can't get the steering posts off the aluminium plate ... haha!

whats a good remedy for having used too much loktite?

soak it all in soapy water? meths?

I'm being a right old dunce today i can tell ya.

well you can warm it up but if its near plastic i wouldnt recommend that only thing is a to a longer screw driver for more leverage.

Heat like Dan said is the way to go. If not try turning it both directions to loosen it up. Sometimes you'll get lucky that way.

I couldn't shift it at all ... I tried heating it up, wouldn't budge. So I worked around it thinking that "well if I can't undo it, its not going to work loose!" 🙂

Go run the hell out of her! Next time you try I bet it'll loosen.

Another option is to remove the bottom plastic front skid plate and you can possably get a hold of the screws with a vice grip pliers and get it a touch loose. If you can cant get a hold of it you may need to grind 2 flat edges on either side acrost from each other.

If this fails, use a chisle put it on the edge of the screw slightly pointing in the direction or removing the screw and hit the chisle with a hammer. This will always knock stuborn bolts loose.
