tips on buying a new engine.

I know nothing about whats good vs whats not, pretty new to the hobbie.

can you pros suggest some good motors that is under the $180.00 range? its for bashing primarly.

Alot of the guys are running the LRP Z.28R Spec 3 and the Axial .28 spec 1s motors and they seem to be happy with them. They are both in that price range. You might want to look in the forum for the engine section for more info.

The Associated LRP 28 Spec 3 is one of the best along side the Picco P3 28. The Racers edge .32 and the Axial .28 or .32 Spec 1S are decent motors (Yes guys I said this even with my hate tord Axial).

The Racers edge 32 and the Axial 32 are vary close to the same motor as they are from the same facility.

I also forgot the Dynamite 427 is a fairly good motor with a nice cheap tag on it.

I agree with everything above but I still will never buy another axial due to their choice of customer service tactics.....or lack thereof !!

ok...in reading those replies...did I make a mistake ordering a NS K 4.6? I know its' out of the price range enquired about, but I always see guys talking about those engines listed above. Just wondering.:duh:

i think i am going lpr or picco, i heard picco is better low-mid range and lpr has better top end. I would rather the lower-mid power as I bash and not race.

No hpi has a great engine w/ the 4.6 ... great CS also .. you will be fine
