The roto start is turning, but the engine is not! need help

This morning I tried to start my HPI Savage 4.6 RTR the roto start was turning freely. I opened the glow plug and turned the roto start manually. Need help/suggestions !!!

first, welcome to the forum.

second, you mean that the roto motor is turning the wand & the gearing in the back of your motor-plate but not turning the crank & piston?

am i reading that correctly?

Welcome to the forum!

Check your one way bearing behind the roto assembly on the back plate. One way you may be able to temp fix it is to take it out and clean it up with wd-40 or DN alcohol. After a good cleaning, it should work for a little bit, but you will most likely have to get a new one.

This is diffiently the one way bearing. This just happened to me a couple weeks back.
