Temp getting to high.

Everytime i go out with my savage the temp goes to 300 or more degrees. I would put both my 4.6 motor and my .32 axial motor in the truck. I have it sometimes tuned so i stop it and sometimes the temp comes down. Is it just possibly to lean? I would give it more fuel and then it does not run as well. What does anyone think i should do to keep the temp and still run fast?

if you are spiking 300's your tuning too lean. got any vid ?

maybe your slipper is loose or your clutch shoes are worn out, you could be straining the engine a lot.
