hi guys,
a question based on your experience and knowledge..
based on a straight long stretch dragrace would the above engine have a chance against the RB Concept TM728?
both identical savages, same spur gearing,clutchbell,wheels,fuel etc..
rb engine has rb matching exaust and lrp not sure what pipe they using.

i don't know but i have the LRP and my savy is fast,that would be a good side by side drag, got to get it on video
 
put on Buku exhaust and I'm pretty sure you'll smoke him.
 
i cant wait to get a buku i was talking to dave the guy who makes them at the finals and he hand make all the pipes, everthing but the springs and that is why they cost so much.I should be getting mine in the next few weeks.
 
I have 2 (Buku's) of them. I would not buku the LRP unless you have the savage mid tanked too.

But my LRP/buku combo is fast. Do you have dyno specs on the rb mill

Based off this modded mill : Novarossi N528XR Hott Mod 2.02 @ 26,250 rpm 80.64 oz-in @ 22,000 rpm 38,500 rpm N528XR $319.00 <-----$$$$

The LRP is dime for dollar a sweet mill.

i don't have a mid tank,but i do have the new era 125cc tank which gets rid of the half tank lean problem or had one before it got smashed this weekend but have a new one coming.

Ill put these in line so they are easy to read.
Dan I don't think you read that right bud. That dyno pull is showing:
728 1.45HP @ around 22,000 rpm and 68.28 oz-in of torque
LRP 1.87HP @ 27,000 rpm and 70.77 oz-in of torque

That means the 728 will fall off at 23-24000 and the lrp will still be pulling I don't have the full curve for the lrp but the peak numbers say its no race.

well we dragged this afternoon and i smoked the lrp,he didnt have a chance against my rb, he wasnt happy so we had to race again..i smoked him again...he was yelling "that dang taiwan motor''!!!

Well some one needs the right pipe then. The dyno don't lie. Or needs to learn to tune.. To answer the first question. No factory spec is even close to being right!

don't know what to tell ya's..could have been a tuning issue,pipe issue?
all i can tell you is that the rb.28 smoked him...twice.
did not mention but these are bumpstart engines,were going to put these mills in our buggys and do it one last time.

Please get us pics of this set up!! Also the non pull start LRP is more powerful than the PS version.
