just wounderin how many tanks everyone one does when breakin there engine?
and how long should and engine last?

I usually run about 4 to 6 tanks depending on the price of the engine. Take your time as it does affect the life of the engine. I would have to say an engine should last 7-10 gallons but will be getting pretty worn at 10 gal where you will have lost some power and performance, but like said break in has an affect on this. Remember these engines don't rely on piston rings for sealing they rely on the pinch and the pinch is basicly and interference fit.

thanx larsen useful as always now how about some free carbon godies lol
u gona be makin any carbon shock towers

I'm not sure yet. I would like to make some LCG ones and/or standard ones but I'm not sure how to mount the body mounts as you cant drill into the end of the carbon fiber or you will loose all strength. However, I thought about using the hellfire parts as they have parts that bolt on that support the body mounts.

if u did drill the end u could fit a metal sleeve into the hole or mount a meplastic or metal sleeve (bit of tube onto the side of the tower?

I suppose but to get carbon that thick is very very expensave so I will have to stack my 4mm possably but I will have to test a single piece of it. My guess is 4mm will be fine for a LCG set but will not be enought for a standard savage hight set. What the guys are doing on the Baja B5 they are stacking either 3mm or 4mm to get the strength.

sounds like a good idea will give more stength for something that takes most of the weight of the truck
