I'm getting a new engine hopefully and i want to get an sts d28m and i was wondering how they run how long they last and how hard they are to tune

The d28m is a good engine .. (best bank for your buck IMO)

There not too hard to tune ... They last as long as you take care of them .. Talk to hpisavage25 he's been running one

go for it benny

you will love the power

start buying two of everything that breaks, lol lol lol

i just bought an STS .30 yesterday because it was so cheap and i just couldnt ignore it. i got it off EBAY for $121 to my door. I have no idea how this engine will turn out to be .......any opinions people because i will certainly appreciate them.......😉🙂😀

i actually didnt get the sts i went to a few different sites and read that alot people had the problem of needles leaning out during tuneing and metal shaving's in the crank case so i a dynomite mach 26 i have 3 tanks throught it just were I'm can take to full throttle for about a second and it kickes so hard i have flipped it 3 times because i don't have a wheelie bar yet and I'm impressed with that

Yep I have an STS .28 and I love it.

At first when I got it I was a newb at motors but it made me learn really quick on them.

As long as you have it sealed up it will be fine and that was my problem it ran like crap because it had air leaks.

I don't know how mine is now since its been ran for 5 gallons under race conditions and ran over 400 degrees a few times from racing but it still starts on the first pull and runs till its out.

Mine was brand new also and I thought the same thing.......it did have air leaks so I sealed it.

I paid $120 for it new and I did a 1 gallon break in.

I'm thinking of modding it right away but i don't know where to modd it.

RB modds, EB modds, AB modds........is there any1 else that modds engines....would appreciate something.....ANYthing

RB mods........I don't have any personal experience with them but I have heard that he does wonders with the STS motors.

I've talked to Rick Brake ...RB... a couple of times now. He is so down to earth and easy to talk to. If and when I get an engine modded it will be by him with out a doubt.:10:

Yeah I would also say RB mods (Rick Brake). He's the one who does the mods if your were to buy a new STS through mark at STSMicroEngines.com. Which is an affiliate through this forum. Also, I belive RB Mods is also an affiliate.

i got my STS D30M engine about a week ago, i sent it to ABMods about 3-4 days ago.... I'm nervous........is it a good investement or did i make a big mistake????????? any opinions?/// please share......

I run the dynamite 26 in one of my trucks too. It's a killer, tons of power and easy to tune I was breaking it in when it snowed last winter and was amazed it was pulling wheelies in the snow. still runs great. and I got it for 90 bucks of ebay in the box.

Adam Belvins from AB Mods just sent me an email telling me that my STS 30 is modded to perfection and broken in as well. He will ship it out tomorrow and i cant wait to START RIPPIN THROUGH MY NEW MONSTER MILL.
