Hey guys,

I have a sts and just put the roto starter on it. I want to mount it in the savage but noticed that I cannot put the starter of the roto on the right hand side (facing the rear of the truck looking at it) as the groove in the starter will face the bottom and thus prevent the pipe from sitting on it.

This means that the starter has to face left which is mid truck.

Does anyone have an issue with that? Do you have isses starting the engine, from what I can see to be, through the shock tower pointed down?

Never mind. I just remember my OS 30 having a roto on the right hand side and not the left. I guess it will work but it just seems odd.

Ill rip the battery off tomorrow and then see how it fits.

**Edit**

I did that for the manifold but I would have to grind some of the back plate for a right sided fit. I guess I can look at the case and see how much of that plastic is buffer and can be shaved.

I just took some pics for ya

The dremeling I did on the header.

Maybe I am forgetful of the OS in the old savage (I am a pull start guy) it just seems like an odd place to have a starter.

Ill give a go tomorrow and thanks for the pics 🙂

You are right sir!

I just checked it and it just seemed far fetched to me and I posted before trying. But it works!

I don't even have to move the battery box.

Thanks again!
