sts 0702 pipe on LRP

Hi all,

I plan on buying a LRP z28 spec3 replace my tired sts .28 and was wondering if anyone is running the sts pipe on their LRP? If so, how is the performance?

I ran my sts. 0403 pipe during break in .. It was decent

Have you looked at the Buku pipe?

I've seen the Buku and think it’s very nice. From what I've been reading on the forums it performs well. I'm a little hesitate though as I would like to see the longevity of the internal workings particularly the spring. Also curious what happens in the event the pipe is dented is the cone still able to move? I haven’t dented a pipe yet, but the possibility is there.

Do dents affect the performance on a pipe.I have one on my HPI polished pipe.

I'm no expert but i don't think small "dings" would do a thing but i would imagine if its half crushed in it would change the "flow" of the exhaust and cause tuning issues

Its not real small .I haven't ran it since i dented it.I guess this would be a good time for an upgrade.Does anyone have the Jp-4 pipe,is it a direct fit to the stock header.
