I am running the stock plastic pipe and am looking for a new pipe. I am looking at the two hpi pipes, which of these are better? And is there a pipe that is better to run on my stock hpi 4.6 motor.

-Thanks

I bought the polished pipe, it works great on my stock savy! Best bang for the buck so far, sure there are alot more that are better, but 17 bucks on ebay was nice on the budget!

ya the polished is a all round better pipe then the ribbed but i have used both and honestly the ribbed was pretty good with low end power but thats about it and it is loud lol

polished pipes are more for performance i believe.. and ribbed pipes are just a lot louder.

The ribbed pipe is garbage. You will not get any top end with it. The HPI polished is far better.

Anyone running the ribbed pipe will see a pretty decent improvement in performance with the HPI polished pipe.

Nuff said right there.

We could also add that none of these pipes will allow you to get the most out of your engine. The HPI pipes are all pretty good torque pipes, but they sacrifice top end somewhat. An OFNA or Dynamite 086 pipe will give you more top end while a BUKU pipe will give you the best of both worlds with a broad power band. The BUKU also allows you to customize your power band without changing pipes.
