Click to expand... tighten it up until the spring is fully compressed and you can not turn it down anymore. Then loosen it up half a turn. 🙂

Doesgo Well-Known Member Messages 290 Location Minnesota Jan 17, 2008 #3 A lot of people only back it off a quarter-turn, but anywhere around there should be fine. Make sure your spring and nut are in good condition, too. They don't last forever, especially the nylon part of the locknut.
