How tight should this nut be?

I followed the instructions and it seems too tight.

But I'm not sure if it's too tight, because I'm not sure how much it's suppose to slip, or where it's suppose to slip.

Thanks guys.

tighten it up until the spring is fully compressed and you can not turn it down anymore. Then loosen it up half a turn. 🙂

A lot of people only back it off a quarter-turn, but anywhere around there should be fine.

Make sure your spring and nut are in good condition, too. They don't last forever, especially the nylon part of the locknut.
