That one is worth having. I couldn't bring myself to buy the 2wd version.

2wd is for noobs.

Tim Roberts (the designer) posted this on another forum.

Thanks guys. Trust me, this is a great truck. We have lots of seasoned RC veterans working here and they all praise the truck as possibly the most fun RC they've ever run.

The price will be less than $400, but we don't know exact pricing yet. It's a great price for the RTR buyers. 2.4G radio, brushless, good battery, etc included. Sorry to those out there waiting for a roller version- it won't happen. It's just not part of the Traxxas business model (excluding the Revo PE).

Expect them in stores early December.

There will not be any sort of conversion from the 2WD Slash to the 4WD. It just isn't possible. There are select parts that are interchangable, but it really is a new vehicle.

The battery used in the videos is the included battery. Expect 35mph out of the box speeds and 10-12 min run times on a track.

Umm yet another truck from traxxas that doesn't fit into a class. They will never let this thing on the track with the 2wd. What class do you put it in open 10th scale I guess. Or you could just bash with it but at that point why not buy a truck that can bash.

I guess this is traxxas's thing though so who knows the t-maxx worked and brought about a whole bunch of MT's, The revo well that doesn't really fit into any class either but still a great truck, The slash created its own class and brought about the blitz, strike, and sc10 so who knows but why don't they just make a truggy or a buggy? I know a bunch of guys who love traxxas stuff who would buy one in a min and as traxxas stuff has a reputation of doing it would bring a ton of new people into the hobby and maybe even revieve the race portion of the hobby.

I think the Slash 4x4 can run with the Slayer, since they are both 4wd.

I am seriously thinking about getting into the CORR Racing stuff.

Looks like HPI needs to step up again... they make the Blitz that can smoke the slash just by design and trax pulls out the wild card to keep sales... gotta love em. Ill still wait for for HPI ...

I think I'm gonna stick with the Blitz too. It cost half that, and you could take that money and upgrade the Blitz to make it smoke the stock Slash 4x4. You have to upgrade the traxxas anyway to get all of the potential out of it.

ya traxxas doing this can only force hpi to top them so I'm waiting to see what HPI will have up there sleeve........
