Okay so yesterday I was out savage bashing with my buddy and I was doing this awesome jump off a snowbank seeing if I could make it to the road on the other side.
I don't have brakes so it landed on the rear of the truck. Long story short, the rear shock tower bends in so much it smashes the fuel tank and of course the engine dies due to no back pressure.
This has happened at least 4-5 times and I am really sick of replacing fuel tanks every other run.
I know if I put xl tvps on it would fix this but i like the 4.6 length.
So, anyone, please help me figure out how to stop this. I have tried gluing really thick foam right on the fuel tank but it doesn't help. The shock mount screw goes right through the foam.
Please help. Its the only weakness on the savage I can find and I need to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Put the shock mount screw in from the tank side so the threaded part sticks out the back side of the truck. Also glue a piece of aluminum or steel to the tank.

looks to me like it is a replacement roll bar and mounts to the chassis and front of the rear shock tower.... I may be wrong here.....

Thas what it looks like to me also. Doesn't look strong enough to hold up to the bashing I'm going tp put it through though.
It will have to survive 10 ft drops upside down onto pavement.
