Shocks.

Happy new year friends.
I need some advice choosing shocks for my savage x 4.6. I would like to go with a 8 shock set up. What size will I need?
Performance is what I'm looking as I bash on all kinds of surfaces.

I went and spent a bunch of cash on shocks with piggyback all aluminum ect. Nothing but problems leaking bent rods. I ended up building the stock plastic ones from the kit and have not 1 problem other than a bent rod do to driver error.

Yep!! 8 stock plastic shocks is the best way to go..

Shocks like most parts one can go from mild to wild, some swear by the Losi shocks like the LST has, some like the Bigbores in either alloy or plastic....
I like a bit of bling on my RC trucks and am using Integy alloy Bodies with all HPI bigbore internals...
Thats what makes this hobby fun in my opinion, enjoy the truck and hobby...

Stock plastic or plastic big bores. I really like the big bores with a bit stiffer spring.

Never had a problem out of the stock plastic big bores, just check to make sure the top and bottom stay tightened on the shock bodies so they don't leak

If it was me I'd go with stock big bores. Thats what I have and never had a problem.
