Damage report. Bent one of the Tsias CVD's Sunday night. I think it has to do with the last jump I did. It went off the jump a little sideways and landed a little off (mainly on the front left wheel). Well, here's the pic.

Yes I am. But, I think I figured out why they kept on breakin thanks to Jester's damage thread that he started. He said he forgot to install the little rubber o-rings inside the diff cups. Well, I forgot to do the same thing. They maybe my problem. We'll see.

:beforeme: Any of those bearings shoot out the exhaust?lol I noticed at the top of the thread that you were going to update often.Sounds like you break a lot of stuff.Way to go dude. My motto is ' if you don't break anything, you are not jumping high enough" Keep up the good work!

By the looks of the head button .. they all stuck to that and the top of the pistion .... oooohh yea btw I do break a lot of stuff

Long time no see fellas! I've been working some crazy hours latley but they made me a supervisor. Suckers! I picked up 2 engs friday, a F4.6 with a Nova cooling head and a K4.6. The F is in good shape, head looks brand new and the pinch is great. The K needs bearings in the block and has a new piston and sleeve and the head is spotless. Finally she'll be running again! As soon as I have the time, be ready for more modding. I'm gonna go a second round with the F4.6 and try my hand with the K. I think I'll change both front bearings when I do it but we'll discuss that in the other thread. Ye-haw!

Well, I made it through a tank and a half this time before I broke another dogbone. I'm still confused on why they keep breaking. If anybody has some insight on this matter, please speak up. Also did some other damage, but that's for another thread.

My buddy and I were runnin our trucks yest. in the street in front of my house before we went out to do some bashin. After he finally got his truck runnin again (tuning problems), he decided to break out his 4tec 3.3 (only a couple months old, if that). He made a high speed run down the street towards the cul de sac and started to turn around. I was heading in the same direction (only in 2nd gear). His batt. went dead in his remote (Tx) and the car went into failsafe and his car was near the drain curb. I sen his car sitting there so I started to turn away from that area. As he started walking towards his car to bring it back, his radio glitched out of failsafe mode and jumped foward away from the curb. Needless to say, my truck met his car T-bone style and my truck went right over it. Here are the damage pics.

And the only damage I got was a few scratches and tiny chunk missing out of the front skid plate.

wow!! the head snapped right off lol guess thats a good example of how strong the savages are built!!!

Jester, ever figure out if the missing o-rings caused the dogbone to break? I didn't have mine either and had some extras so I put them in. I still broke another last night.

And it left the piston in there like nothing happened? thats kinda funny if you ask me.......I mean I'm sorry for your loss. HPI 1 Traxxas 0

I have a 2.5r motor from a nitro 4 tec that looks exactly like that from an accident in front of the hobby shop! (NO I didnt own a traxxas)

Not my loss, his. I'm gonna get him either a new motor or just a new crankcase. I feel bad for hitting it, but he wasn't mad when it happened.

My second weekend of being able to use my savage, Friday (off work) and it rains all day.. so no savage =( so I installed my reverse module. I then designed and cut out templates for my custom body. Saturday comes along.. really nice day, a little windy.. but a great day to play. So I get all setup take everything down to the field and setup. Go to start my savvy, and the pull cord come right out in my hand and wont retract.. so I take a look behind the engine and the pull start was hanging off the engine, so I pack it back into the car and go off shooting with my girlfriend for an hour or so. I get home and fixed my pull start. coils shooting out everywhere and pieces of plastic flaying around the room. Looks like there was no threadlock actually used when the pullstart was installed at the factory!!

So with the pullstarter all fixed, I took it outside mt house to play around on the road.. oh, I forgot to mention I also have a HPI ribbed exhaust now.. lests just say everything down my street was looking out of their windows. None the less, I have a little fun and did a little tuning before it went dark!

So, here I am on sunday. Another nice day, so I decide to take my savvy out for a spin by my girlfriends grans house.. first tank of fuel, everything is going great.. running nice and cool at around 130-135 deg C. Having even more fun of my second tank of fuel when I lost total control of my savvy. At first I wonder if I have got some water in the electronics box.. but as I got closer it became responsive again. Upon inspection.. somewhere along the line I lost my antena (the whole thing). I am left with this tiny stump of whire sticking out of the back of the reciever. So my next job is to solder a sew wire to the reciever..

Great weekend, but didn't go exactly to plan.. but, it's all great fun!

My girlfriend got a lot of excersise turning the car back on all fours after I flipped it on the roof a few times. So I think the next thing is a roll cage!

Man sounds like you had a great day, I'm jealous wish would have been home to thrash mine around and break stuff.

Try and find some FLM 123mm dog bones. I have FLM centres and I was looking at them yesterday and they were in perfect condition (compared to the HPI ones which were buggered after just break in). I have the 123mm ones on the way and I am assuming they should be just as good.

Ouch, could of been worse though. Could of totally destroyed his Traxxas, luckily you barely hit it. Well luckily for his part, I figure if you were WOT might not of been enough of his 4Tec for pictures. :hardlaugh:
