i just brought new savage 4.6xss. So that leaves me with a spare k4.6. Got the motor mounted on a spare savage motor mount and just for laughs i test fitted it to the mt2 to my surprise it fitted (will have to drill 4 new holes for motor mount ) .I even tried the polished exhaust it fits as well. the only problem i can see will be throttle linkage can you guys see any other problems doing this

Here's my damage report from last Sat. night while testing out the ramp. Let me just say that the truck launched pretty high (8-10ft. maybe at mid speed) and I didn't have the brakes locking up tight enough. So, the front-end never rotated back down and I landed right on the rear end. Here's the pics.

I have fixed the brake issue and for those who are wondering, those are the Integy MSR8's. Enjoy....

Kind of an expensive day today. At least I got 2 tanks of fun though.

Here is the replacement. Axial .28 Spec 1S. Just need to seal it up and flip the carb and get this puppy broken in.

If you keep blowing ring and pinions than check to make sure the bearings that the ring gear goes through are still seating good into the housing. I have to replace the rear housing every 6 gallons or so because it develops some bearing slop and you cant shim against that.
You will like the Axial. I have owned several and they are a great budget mill with lots of power for the $.
 
looks like something like i have done lol it not fun unless u drive it in to the ground and have to work on it when u get home i know how that goes

the dogbone and antenna top are lost forever as far as i know...

at least this gave me some down time to put my lst shocks on..
 
I'm trying to put together a nice edited video and all that garbage, but i haven't gotten too far with it yet, I'm hoping to have it done by the end of summer...

i should of taken a pic of my pipe, i didnt notice it till today but my pipe is murdered..
 
neighbors have a pretty nice angled curb that at around 20 you can hit it and land on the next curb. i attempted it at full speed lol and it ended up front flipping somehow, slammed on its top, bent the cage to hell and somehow caused the brackets pretty much holding the rear on to break..
 
Gotta love the look of carnage in the morning.... Great job bashing that truck like it stole something from you! All hail Savage!
 
i believe the 1:1 scale on top but that really has nothing to do with it. flipping and rolling at 40 is a hella lot different then putting a rc under a jacked up truck..
 
Yeah, a great deal! This thread kinda died out a little. Been keeping up with the savy in the other thread. Should keep posting all my damage here cause I seem to have some everytime I go out. Now I'm running a LRP and thinking of selling those engs but not commited yet.

Yup, the block is destroyed. Haven't looked internally as I'm too sick to continue. This shuts me down for a good long time as I have no job currently. Chad, never mind on the eng mount, I got bigger fish to fry. Good luck to all with the video, the competition just got smaller! Wish I had the wreck on film for you guys to enjoy, but my camera girl was slacking. :duh:

i had the same exact thing happen to me with my 25...cracked block, and mount, never even checked the internals. that thing was toasted...
