Good catch thought it WAs the back in that case stay on the gas a little longer. For me I let off right as the rear wheels leave the ramp for big air jumps. For stuff under 12 feet or so I let off just as the front wheels leave the ramp. But that's just my truck everyones set ups are different.

Broken bumper mounts & body, sounds familiar!Good to see your giving it some abuse m8:jamout:.

that damage was from a stock lrp on its 2nd gallon of fuel and i haven't jumped my truck with the lrp yet so i think it was all lrp from that point on cuz the only gear that wast wrecked oddly enough was the plastic gear lol.

Towards the end of the day at Guy's house this weekend, the Flux started turning hard left under power, to the point of uncontrollable donuts at WOT. The left rear wheel was getting no power at all, but the right was hurling dirt and gravel all over like normal. I figured I'd snapped yet another outdrive pin until I pulled off the ring gear and found this...

One spider gear cracked cleanly in half, and the ring-gear-side bevel gear just shattered. There is one tooth worth of it just completely gone, ground into tiny chunks, and there are bit of the rim on the back that have cracked off. These were brand new gears, only a couple weekends worth of bashing on them.
I still had the old gears, so I picked out the best of them and threw them in as replacements.

Well, Thanksgiving weekend was not so good to my Savage. The .46 motor bit the dust. It was not running well at all that day, killing glow plugs, then the motor seized. I finally got around to tearing it down today. Here are some pics. Looks like one of the main bearings failed. The cage is missing a big piece. It got jammed in one of the ports, but not before causing a whole lot of problems. I don't know if I will try to fix it or not. For now I put the stock 21 back in the truck.

its not worth fixing the ole .46 why don't you save up for a lrp or even a f 4.6 ?

yup its done for, all part of the hobby right 🙂 Almost got it running with the 21 motor today. Got it installed and started, but it died while warming up, and then the glow starter was dead. Should be able to run it a bit tomorrow though.
