I see youve not got anything like a cable tie to hold your bumper mounts together and keep the upper pins in, the upper pin on the damage side seems to be out further than the other side, the eye in the end of the arm looks good, i reckon you could pull the pin out, put the arm back in place, push the pin back in and carry on runnin that baby. Oh and then cable tie your bumper mounts to pull them together a bit.

Looks pretty good considering it just was ran over by a 1:1 vechile. HPI FTW!

when they look like that the arm splits at the casting mark. They look fine by eye but the eyelet will just open back up again. But that does look like the pin fell out. How a 1:1 truck could do that is beyond me. I have seen 2 get hit now. None looked like that!

I hit his truck going about 30mph. His back tire cought my right wheel and bulk head

I'm glad i never had the body on the xl. but that was one of the
weridest thing that ive had happen to one of my rcs.

had a similar meeting with the curb bent the chassis alum bulk plate, cracked engine plate, bent lower hinge pins, broken bulkhead, damaged brake disc, and so on. 300 bucks later she is back together, and thats what happend when the throttle return spring comes off.

I had just installed the ofna linkage and didn't install the spring with it just used the stock return spring, and it popped off, I have since changed to the ofna spring and got rid of the stock on, all good now.

Well here is the list of broken stuff from sundays bash.

1 Spur gear (Screws came out of motor mount.)
1 SHD dogbone (bent)
4 shock shafts (bent both shocks upfront twice)
4 lower shock eyelets

Computer is broken so I can't upload any pics sorry but I just wanted to share.

All of this stuff when doing the big air jumps at the end of the day. The 10-15 foot stuff proved to be no issue at all. This was all full speed 20-25 foot jumps with a backflip or two. Time to upgrade to Big bore shocks up front at least.

Anyone know of a shock end that is alum or titanium instead of plastic. They bend first then the shock shaft follows.

9 times out of 10 the plstic stuff is going to give so you don't break as much stuff.
If you go with aluminum or titainium you will most likely break the shaft.

Travis

Well went out yesterday to bash a bit and broke the following.

on/off switch. got smashed when the truck took a nose dive into some large rocks.

two pinion gears and one ring gear. Stupid cheep HPI diff bearings took a crap on me and cost me these parts.

Bent shock shaft. Yet another one falls victom to the RSC single shock set up.

Three exsust springs got lost as well. Said to say these stupid little parts are what ended my day everything else I had.

yeah alex didnt have a good day. I cracked my ofna 250 tank, 2 bb shock caps, lost a bone, broke a wing, and snapped the cf off that holds my rush box on. needless to say if you run your truck hard don't use a rush box, and anything you think of taping use zip ties

I count that as a good day. Bash it till it crys or at least makes loud grinding noises and refueses to move anymore.

AJ Your truck should be renamed the amazing gimp. Everytime we run you end the day running with no shocks on at least part of your truck. ( Mad props to AJ for contuning to put 20 feet + air under his truck with no front shocks.)

Rolled this thing the wrong way i guess. Started to shudder when id hit the throttle. Time for a new one i guess.. that or a little JB weld! LOL! What do you guys recommend for my F4.6 mill?

Hyp all that money you put into that truck and ur still runiing the plastic pipe... shame..shame... anyways, HPI polished pipe is the cheapest performance pipe you can get, I run an OFNA 053 polished on my F4.6 and i reallllly like the performance, cost a little more then the HPI tho, but your choice..

I like the HPI polished pipe, i noticed a definate improvement in performance switching from plastic to it and you can get them cheap as chips from an eBay chopshop with header, springs, rubber coupling and seal.

Yeah man i know.. my buddy was bugging me about changing it a while back. Just never got around to it. Guess i have to now!

Got bored this afternoon so decided to go for a lil bash, only had enough fuel for a few tanks but done some damage now I'm starting to get brave and do some 10' + jumps.

Rear end landing, broke wing stay.

wrecked wing, don't look that bad but it flaps around while driving lol

and a bumper mount screw broken in the bumper mount

Had a few other bad landings, the kind where the whole weight of the truck comes down on one wheel and it looks as though it all crumples and breaks, but no damage there, I'm impressed.

nice damage london won't be long now till you are putting some major air under that thing. roll off the throtal a little sooner and it will come down nice and flat.

Are those mulcher 40's? if so switch to Mt tires and I bet you don't have to change a thing and it will land flat.

Cheers Pope, yea I'm starting to get the knack of the throttle/brake in the air thing, when i first started jumping it all happened too quickly and before i knew it it was landing upside down lol but now it almost seems it happens in slow mo.

Yep those are maxx standard size Mulchers, i doubt il buy 40 series again.
