I have a XL Savage 5.9 and can't seem to get it to run! I took it back to the hobby shop and they tuned it. as soon as I got it home, it ran but very rough and had no speed at all. The hobby shop thinks I'm crazy but it won't run. I bought a new one for a friend in Texas and brought it to him last week at the Nascar race. We broke it in there and that thing screams!!! He hasn't had any problems.Where should I start. Please help, it's frustrating. Thanks, Kent

check your motor for air leaks first. you should really post this in the correct forum. this is the site questions forum it should be in the engines/tuning/breakin forum.

I have a 5.9 savage that I can't seem to get to run for anything. I'm new at this It ran great after break in for a couple of tanks. I took it to the hobby shop today and they got it running. as soon as I got it home I ran it. All it did was spit and sputter. It would not get out of first gear. I tried to lean it and it would die when I let of the throttle. I want to bring it back to the store, but I'm getting tired of going back and I think there getting tired of seeing me.Comments will be very much appreciated! Thanks

try increasing the idle a touch and reset to factory settings on your needles, then tune from there hsn first then a little tweaking on the lsn may be needed

I wouldn't touch your lsn that is just for throttle response check your mill for air leaks then reset your Hsn back to factory

Thanks for the info. I brought it back to the shop. Hopefully they will find a leak. I'm still new to this game, but hope to get better. Thanks

+1 Kent sounds like your tune. like the guys said, reset your needles to factory & watch the tuning video in jud's thread as many times as you can stand to paying close attention to how the mill sounds. https://www.hpisavageforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8833

also keep an extra glow plug on hand so if yours goes dead, you don't get frustrated tryin to start your mill without glow.
