Savage X Pull Start Problems

I Have a Savage X 4.6 and just recently put a pull start on rather then staying with the Roto start. I kinda got sick of charging the batteries. Was wondering if there was a certain type of pull start I was sopose to buy cause since I bought it, the pull start has jammed up on me twice. I saw one for the K4.6 motor, am I sopose to be using that one. I just have the basic HPI pull start. Any help would be appeciated.

what mill do you have? the x came with a k and a f mill. the k has slash cuts milled into the side of the cooling head, the f has a completely round head.

Which pull-start did you buy? Assuming you have the F4.6 motor, the proper one is the HPI #1428, like this: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDLN5&P=Z

I also swapped the roto on my F4.6 for the same pull-start as above, and had no problems at all...Is there any chance the cord got pulled too far on yours? That could easily "jam up" any pullstarter.

I believe its the F Mill. I Have the Savage x 4.6 RTR.

That would be the F motor for sure...

then the k pull start will not work. your spring may be binding up inside of the pullstart. maybe crack the case open and squirt a bit of graphite or wd40 in there? i dunno i don't use pull start.

yea try takin the pullstart off and it should rewind itself .....lol...i don't know how i know it but maybee we done this before....lol:retarded:
