savage x exhaust silencer problems?

has anyone experienced or heard of any problems or power loss when using the exhaust silencer that comes with the rtr savage x?

i never even used mine so i personally wouldnt know but i would try it without and see..... as it wont be that loud!!!

i lost power and it ran really rich so i took it out had no probs since.

I remember trying it when I got my x 4.1 RTR way back when they first came out, if remembered correctly I lost power but was nice for running around in the neighbor hood for being a tad quieter. It wasn't long and I switched for a tuned pipe.

If your just running the F4.1 or the K or F4.6 the HPI polished pipe works great otherwise a great pipe is the Dynamite or OFNA 086 Pipe which is for high end and is very decent on the pocket book. The Buku pipe is great as well but does require some tuning. There is some talk about the Maxs pipe's but are a little modding to get them to fit and are loud but sound like they will gain a lot of power. There was some talk that they were working on a pipe that would bolt directly to the savage which would be sweet.

a good cheap pipe that works well on those rtr mills would be the hpi polished pipe, they are cheap on ebay.
