so heres my story,
my savage is a 21, the old one (i call it the old skool version!!) and i have had it a while, i bought it on ebay, it needed rebuilding so i got the parts and rebuilt it, all the parts i need, done. it runs pretty much ok and will go quite quick, the gearbox changes fine etc.. and the engines a newish one. right so heres my problem, my savage starts fine etc.. but the idle is wierd on it, i start it, rev it abit to clear the oil ot the cylinder and then drive it up and down the road, its runnin a little rich at the moment but its better for the car like that anyway, so i find that when i don't touch the throttle it has a completely stable idle but when i touch the breaks and lift off them again back to neutral the idle increases drastcally, sometimes to even full throttle! i find the only way to get it back to normal is to rev it an then the idle s steady again, i think this may be something to do with the LSN. please help me, i haven't managed to have much fun with my savage due to this prob!!

thanks allot and please reply!!!!!!

make sure the LSN is flush...then go from there. as the engine warms from cold he idle will increase a lil...but check and make sure your throttle servo is center trim on the radio.....then make sure that with the trim on o (centered) the carb is closed. a lot of people think the something is wrong with the engine....but a WHOLE LOT OF TIMES the servo was not centered with the trim in the middle...and the carb shut when they reinstalled the engine. check it out and let me know.
