savage 25 issues

Hi I've recently got a savage 25 but when starting it will either blurb bout bad soon as you remove the glow or try revving itself also every time I touch the brakes the throttle is sticking open any help would be great as I am lost thanks mark

sounds like it might be running a little rich. lean out the high speed needle a little and see if that helps.

also, for the carb, make sure the linkage it hooked up right. and that the return spring is still on the carb. if its gummy, clean it with carb cleaner or wd-40.

its also a good idea to spray some wd40 in the carb and spin the engine a couple of times after running the engine.
