I went to start my Sav X today and it just won't start. It's been running up til now but has sat for about a week. Engine turns over but doesn't even attempt to start. Glow plug is good (new) and I checked it in the ignitor, compression seems good, removed plug and turned over engine in case it was flooded, put plug back in and still no start. I'm wondering if it's getting fuel???Any help would be greatly appreciated.

to see if it is getting fuel put a little fuel right into the carb and see if it starts. if it does check your fuel system to see where the blockage is. if it doesnt start with the splash in the carb double check the plug and ignitor.( i have had plugs that will light on the ignitor but wont stay hot when the fuel gets to it). this is assuming that the mill still has good pinch.

Roto start was good I even tried a fully charged battery to make sure. What's Mickey mean above "if the mill has good pinch"?

pinch refers to how the motor gets tight near the top of the sleeve creating a better combution

you may have the HSN to lean and its not lettin enough fuel in to start. also check the fuel line coming from the pipe to the tank as it may have touched the spur gear and put a little slit in it causing the fuel tank to not build enogh pressure and in turn not push the fuel to the carb.

i remember one time were my glo plug ignitor was charged but not enough it was making the glow plug glow but not enough to start my x had to charge it and everything was fine, could this be it?

I was jus messin with it and found the fuel in the line going to the carb to be thick and jelled up a little. Weird, it only sat like a week since I last ran it. Traxxis fuel=bad, good thing I got some Blue Thunder standing by. Thanks for everyone's input, this newbie really appreciates all your help.

Thanks! I noticed when I was just runnin it, it was way hot just sittin at idle so I backed the LSN to flush but I'm wondering if that Traxxas fuel may have gummed up inside the carb? Or possibly i now have an air leak and need to seal the motor?

Thanks! I'll give it a shot. Since this is becoming a tuning issue or so it seems, I'll try your suggestions and then probably push this into the tuning section. Thanks again.
