Ribbed pipe for lrp z.28 s3

I'm using the hpi ribbed pipe for this mill and it's pretty crazy!! My bro has the polished pipe on his 4.6 and I was thinkin of tryin it on my lrp. Anyone ever use the ribbed pipe forthe lrp? Ihear it likes a restricted pipe. I can't really see a diffrent pipe making more noticable power for the lrp.28s3.

i run the ths pipe on my lrp and it screams but i haven't tried another pipe to have a comparison with. heres the link to the ths pipe.

as for the polished pipe ide try that the hpi polished is way better than the ribbed i think the ribbed is mainly a noise maker the polishes is a lil more performanced pipe.. good luck happy bashn..

The ribbed pipe is very loud, which gives the illusion of more power. It actually doesn't perform very well in comparison to buggy pipes such as the 086 and 053.

The ribbed pipe has no better performance than the stock plastic pipe. I was buying a pipe from my LHS and I asked why it had the bump outs in it and the owner just say "because it looks cool". I bought it to see how it ran and in my opinion it looks terrible, sounds terrible and performs terrible. I ran it over in 1:1 car.

yea the ribbed pipe is just a can its not a tuned pipe and wont do anything but make a LRP run bad. The best pipe I have found on my LRP is the 086. I have used that a buku , jp3 hpi polished and a hpi hellfire the o86 make a very noticeable difference on it

Is there a difference between the Ofna 086 and the dynamite 086? I like the dynamite's hard anodizing but it seems like more people use the ofna, is it better?

dynamite has a gentely curved header with no harsh angles in it which is always good but its header is also longer moving its tune slightly lower down the power band.

Don't stick an 086 pipe on a K5.9.

The 5.9 needs a much bigger pipe like the Cen Genesis pipe to be at its best, most buggy pipes are simply too small for it.
