removing shims

hi,
i have decided to remove two out the three shims on my sts 30 (leave the silver) but as it is used I will have to do a small fuel brake in, so should I remove the shims after the fuel brake in or will it not matter.
sorry about all these questions.

imo.... id leave the shims in for atleast a gallon or two ... theres enough stress on a new engines conecting rod already .. taking the shims out makes more presure .id wait till the engines broken in nicely n haqs been ran awhile after break in ...

hi,
but it isn't new I am only going to do a small fuel brake in as the previous owner used a different fuel. should I still leave the shims on for a couple of tanks of the new fuel.

pull the shims and run it no need to rebrake the engine in to new fuel just retune it and run it

no problem mate before I start taking things of to remove the shims do you just take the screws of which are holding the heat sink on.

yeah just the 4 that hold the heat sink on ..
