Hey i wondered if anyone can help me,
I have a savage 25 that was running fine ( albeit a bit slow ) the other day it ran out of fuel which (obviously) has been refilled but now it wont start at all have tried for the last few day's but i just cant get it to go. It turns over with the roto start but seems to not have enough umph when i put the glow plug heater on ( the glow plug is good ) can anyone please suggest something as i am reaching the give up stage.
:duh:

Heat the engine with a heat gun or hair drier. Make sure the igniter is charged or has a fresh battery inside it. Charge the battery in your Roto too.
If you have a new plug, try it. I have had a plug that looked fine not run in the truck. But when I put a new one in it fired right up.
Also, how old is the fuel?

bought fuel a week ago but only opened two days ago
the plug is fine when i take out and ignite it lights up

sounds like it might be flooded. take the glow plug out, turn the engine over with the roto for about 5 seconds, re-install the glow, and try to start it. you'll need to make sure the fuel lines are primed. one easy way is to hold your finger over the exhaust outlet as you are turning the engine over with the roto. stop when you see the fuel in the line get to the carb (note: only works with clear fuel lines). do it too long and you'll flood it again.
