things have changed once again....
after finally recieving my c-frame rails today and installing them to later put the body seen above on the chassis.....EPIC FAIL! looks like dog$#@@ lol

so...without further delay i have frantically worked on this custom rig ALL day and came up with quite a bit of customization to this rig. Best part is....i still have a lot to do yet! ahaha!

due to the aggressive angle on the driveshaft for this direct drive motor i now have it figured out and a rolling rig!!

got some more done to this rig...

Dig installed (needs the collar and long set screw to the servo) Mounted it so its basically switching between 2WD and 4x4 (No FWD/Dig).

Painted the basecolor orange
needs white stripe across the sides and tailgate as they did in the 80s for these trucks.

waiting on a quoate for a canopy to turn this into a blazer.

update nov 15 2010

Got some details worked out in the front links, adj to suspension and finally decided on the brushless motor and esc setup.

also managed to get some painting detailing done (not shown in pics) but its coming along nicely. Had to order a 28mm adapter plate to mount this micro brushless to the standrard 540 motorplate. Still waiting for several items to appear such as the steel front bumper , winch, NVS light system, etc...

Starting some work on my hood, hated the nasty scoop that was on it.
Styrene board/Testors and patience...lol

Still have to fill the areas and bodywork but its a start^^
Other parts still coming include:
~ RC4WD steel front bumper w/winch mount
~ 28mm motor plate to install my brushless onto this badass!
~ Gunnar beef toob (Front axle weight/internal)

its been a few months now since i started this project (mostly due to wait times in parts/shipping to Canada) and still have so much to do to this rig.

anyhow...appreciate all the comments and will keep you guys updated as it goes along.

Got my hood painted (no pic of front as the body JUST got painted & is drying right now) and the NVS lighting installed. Still need a few tidbits to get this to come to light:
