OK guys I was going to take my piston and sleeve out of my K 4.6 but could not get the piston out. Sleeve came right out (being that it is so new) it just pulled right out of the top. Can't seem to get the piston out. I wiggled and tugged and pulled (ever so gently) I know that sounds bad lol but BACK ON TOPIC. I can't seem to get the piston out, any suggestions? Just want to give the motor a good cleaning before I break her in. If I can't take the piston out could I just spray the crap out of her with nitro clean?

The crank needs to be turned roughly 50-90* and wiggled just right and it will slip off the crank. Also, make sure that you are holding the crank shaft toward the front of the motor. Like you already have the sleeve must be out.

OK I'm going to try tonight when I get home from work. Of course that piston has to be near the top of the stroke in order for the rod to clear the track/groove.

By the way, I also noticed that there are no shims for the cylinder head, but I can't verify if it is supposed to or not. Does HPI include a exploided view of the motor. Can't find mine.

Correct as the manual shows it should have 2 shims under the head. Check to make sure these shims are not hanging on the head button.

Ya I'm a little @#$@% I noticed that there were no shims in sight. I wanted to run the thing this weekend. I called HPI and they are going to send me the parts but it's going to take a least a week for them to ship. My local hobby shop doesn't have them in stock.
