Hey again, just more problems here! one of the hex bolts has cracked the backing plate for the OWB and its leaking the grease out which is causing the bearing to slip. Can I use some sort of Loctite sealant to seal the plate onto the motor?

basically the entire OWB piece that bolts onto the back of the motor? it has 3 hex screws that mount it on. 1 has broken off the thread on the block which it screws into. So it isn't sealing entirely at the bottom. small gap and the grease is leaking from it and I'm guessing dirt is getting in and causing the bearing to not work properly. If I seal the gap with a sealant like Loctite gasket sealant, from the outside obviously, it should stop it leaking grease an letting in dirt? sorry by the time I work out how to upload a pic it'll be lunchtime haha

That one is for a 4.6 engine. so you saying one of the mounting holes is broken off and not sealing ?
If so I recommend replacing it caz with 1 bolt missing it is not going to line up properly anyway....

grease is leaking? grease is what causes the owb to slip in the first place, isn't it?

No actually a coat of grease on the OWB will help it to not slip. the reason most of them slip is a coating of fuel residue and oil causing it to slip..... or it may be simply worn out and needing replacement....
