Os Vg 30?

I'm thinking of putting a VG 30 in my Savage X. Is the extra power of that motor allot harder on the trucks drive line parts? ie diffs,transmission,driveshafts etc??
Will I be replacing them more often?

that motor does not have more power then the .28's

it has torque but its a hog sort to speak compared to the .28s

It seems that many people here run .28's. Are they generally the best performers for nitro trucks because they rev quicker or what?

So are you guys saying that it's not worth spending the $$ to put one in?
Do they last longer then the stock .28's?

I had one. Ran great. I could feel the torque. Not for speed though. IMO I should've gotten a 28. The OS30 was pretty good for me. I ran it up and down the street with a few wheelies. But I think that with a 28 I will be getting more speed. Maybe the same torque.

I have an OS.30, STS.30, Picco.28 in my three Savages. The Picco is faster and has more torque than the OS by a long shot.

I would compare the OS power to be equal to my old SH.28 3 port.
