:Radioactive: could someone tell me the number on the ofna linkage and why you change it also this half tank lean thing is killing me i saw a tank on new era racing does it work ok this is a new ballgame for me use to have jato 3.3 this is all different and much more fun.

good call on hirisk's ofna thread sunk......ive passed tht 1 out many times.
.
as for WHY; it will give you more adjustability & you can set your brakes to grab harder.
.
1/2 tank lean: the stock tank mounted in the stock location is a bad design because the fuel is lower than the carb. Yep. although most prefer a mid tank, the new era's should to the trick for short $$

i just did the ofna tank mod from new era (side mount) and it has improved my tune stability greatly, it holds a tune right to the last drop of fuel in the tank. the step or L shaped stock tank is more to blame than the tank being located under the carb for the half tank lean. check this tread out for a nice clear explanation

I agree that the L-shape is not a great design & that the ofna tank will help, but the 1/2 tank lean is product of physics, not tank geometry. r/c vehicles do not have a fuel pump therefore it is gravity that flows the fuel from the tank to the carb. once the fuel level drops to 1/2 tank, the pressure line simply can not produce sufficient psi to carry the same amount of fuel uphill to the carb.
.
When bashing with Bankrupter, his pressure line became disconnected, but his mill kept running because his 250cc mid-tank is not below the carb & gravity continued the flow of fuel. Same would hold true if you tried to siphon fuel from your 1:1 vehicle: place the container below the vehicle's fuel tank & fuel will flow if you blow in some pressurized air......place the container higher than the vehicle's tank & gravity will keep the fuel in the vehicle's tank as it is lower than the container.
.
Do an experiment.........mock up a set of mounts for your stocker tank that make the bottom of the tank flush with the carb & see what happens to the 1/2 tank lean.
.........or............
mock up a set of mounts & drop your ofna tank lower than the carb & see what happens.
