Well the weather is gonna be nice for a few days so i got the savage out and started playin around with it. I wanted to try holding it by the wheelie bar and punch the throttle and see if tires would break loose and smoke them. Well it did with no effort, I was hoping to see smoke and a black mark but that didn't happen. But i noticed that the clutches would start to slip when it shifted into second. Then i tried holding down on the truck from a dead stop and punched the throttle and clutches would just slip.......Now the weird part is that if you accelerate slowly they will engage and grab but soon as it hits second they break loose again?cornfused It seems like a sudden acceleration/high rev they don't want to grab. I've always heard a slight slipping when i was making wide open passes, just thought it was the slipper.
I wonder if this is why i went through 2 sets of carbon shoes, a set of integy aluminum shoes, & I have about half the life left on the max life's. Currently i'm running a 17/47 gearing with max life shoes & mugen .09 springs, proline road rage 40 series tires.
Anyone have suggestions on what the problem could be, or is there a better CB or aluminum shoes.
