Ive had my savage 25 for a while now, brought it off my mate as he didnt use it anymore. Anyway, ive been reading loads on engine porting etc, so thought id give it a go.. I basically followed the rcca article, or what I could find of it, so only did the sleeve. When I put it back together, I had to lean it nearly 2 turns on the lsn and 1 on the top as it was spitting fuel out the carb and wouldnt start. It runs great now, slightly more get up and go nothing major, still wont wheely very often though. Also it will now run the while tank out, where as before it would start acting up at mid tank due to the mid tank lean thing. Just thought id share.
