New To the form with blowin motor!

Hey guys new to the form. This happen to me the other day. I saw on here the hpi engine exchange program, so I'm going to try it out. Going to get the Nitro Star K4.6 HO motor. I had about 4 to 5 gallons on this motor.


Great form look forward to learning alot more from here!

Gee bud that stinks. Welcome to the forum as well. Lots of great information and lots of awesome people here. Yes HPI will take that engine in for exchange but will cost a bit. You may be better off getting the LRP or Picco P3 as they will have more power and more than likely will tune easier and will out last the HPI engine they will cost more but ya gatta pay to plate thats my throe.

I would give hpi a call, you never know they might warranty that engine. They have great customer service.

welcome chase,check out some axial's on ebay.i got my .28 from rcboyz for 119.00 to my door and had really good luck with it

I will say +1 on the call to HPI. Ask for Andrew. He's the best to deal with. That should not have gone in 4 gals and not like that enless you sucked in some water. If you were in water its your fault but still call lol... I have a H.O. and love it! I wil have a LRP with Buku soon. The BUKU is junk for the H.O. If you do go that route. HPI polished pipe works best on it. Good luck!

I called HPI today and they are getting me a new motor for $50 dollars,so I'm happy with that! (4.6 H.O) I didn't get in any water, it just let go while running some hot laps in the yard. Anyways thanks for the warm welcome here guys its great! Here are some pics of my truck.

I like the body nice and high-I run mine the same way- don't let these guys talk you into lowering it lol.

Try to stick with HPI the 4.6 is a tough engine no doubt. My friends and I bash hard and the 4.6 has been great out of the box!

Update guys just talked to HPI and they are out of 4.6 motors,so the are going to send me a 5.9 motor!
