alright guys, ive been really lookin into another nitro. ive narowed it down to the hpi firestorm, and the mt2 3.0. they both look like solid trucks, the mt2 is 4x4, which is a plus, but i could use the firestorm at the local track, and probably have a bit more fun drifting it and powersliding and what not.

I've heard they are both tough as nails. 2wd would probably be less maintenance. I had a 2wd stadium truck and it was fun, but nothing beats the savage IMO. I really just like the ground clearance of the monster truck and it's ability to go over and through about anything. But like you said, drifting is fun and it takes a lot more skill to drive the 2wd truck on the dirt.

well the way its lookin now, i am gonna have 2 savvy's. one from all the spare parts from my first build. I'm just lookin for something different.

Then I'd say go for the firestorm and give 2wd a shot. It's a lot different!

heh, i ran my savvy in 2x. it wouldnt stay in a straight line on my dirt driveway. i couldnt even feather the throttle enough to keep it straight. the mt2 is lookin good right now.

2WD is definitely a different driving style compared to 4WD......definitely takes practice on the track!! Both are good trucks IMO

of course I'm gonna say, get the nitromt2, just look at my username lol, ive got an old nitromt, about 10 yrs old and it still runs awesome, its on its 5th engine, but the drivtrain is all original

alright, after alot of debate, ive decided on the firestorm. it seems to be a solid truck, and the 2wd aspect just drew me in. hopefully i can get some things sold off and others paid for and be good to have one.
