New Savage XL

I just got this new savage XL, I am trying to break-in, the engine won't turn over when the glow plug is on, the rotor start keeps resetting because it can't turn the engine over...........any suggestions on getting this thing going.

welcome to the forum .... loosen up the glow plug then start it after it starts tighten the plug back up .... its got alot of pinch when new... and when it gets flooded it wont turn over to easy .... also turn the fly wheel so that the piston is at the bottom .. so the starter can slam it up ....
