new picco.28 head shims?

just got my new picco.28 in i read the manual and it says i need to add a 0.1 shim if i run 30 percent nitro i added a copper one from my 4.6 and now it doesnt feel like it gets tight at tdc??

You don't need to add one, once it's broken in you can actually remove the thin one depending on your elevation. Running 30% with stock shimming is fine, I wouldn't run it on a hot plug is the only thing, medium works great.
