hey guys i just got my new mill .28RR axial.

i want to know everything you guys can tell me about how to keep my engine running strong for a long time. what to do and not to do.

i only got 3 gallons on my first hpi mill but i think i abused it causing a early death.

what tips can u guys give me.

well w/ the new axial I would say .. pack it up and return it ..

Seriously tho .. They have nothing but problems with them
Just make sure you Take your time w/ break in and do what the manf. tell you to do ..

HAHA jester, Thats why I was short with my first post I didnt want to say to much.

Ive had one and nothing but troubles, High temps with no resolution to it and I tryed everything, Front bearing leaked horrable with in less than a gallon. There customer service is the worst Ive seen. I got them to basicly replace everything and I sold it, PERIOD.

a guy at my LHS has the same motor as I and has over 9 gallons on it without a problem... maybe you just messed up your breakin?

Slow and steady break-in is always the key. The more care you take in break-in translates to a better life span for the engine. Perhaps the best advice though is to heat up the engine ,using something like a hair dryer, to opperating temps before every time you run it in break-in period.
