new engine suggestions?

So my faithful .21 ran its last tank of fuel today 🙁
It died with a metallic sound, so I pull the backplate off to find metal chips...
So now I ask, what should I get to replace it? I would prefer to stick to a HPI but it has to be a drop in replacement and can use my hot bodies roto start.

if u want cheap u can get a basic picco .21 with a roto plate on it allready for a good price. other than that I'm not too sure on what engine. Its for a savage right? if its the f3.5 engine ive got one in my buggy and its pretty ban-ban-, if u liked it try and find one cheap on ebay, i saw a brand new one go for 20 GBP (about $40)

not sure if u wanted to stick with a 21 or not but i just found out that sickhobbies sells the f4.6 engine for $100 plus shipping,cant beat that deal.... not sure if the hot bodies roto works on it or not but its a great deal either way!!

F4.6 is a great engine.. can find them new for about 99 bucks

axial .28 is the same as the k4.6 and would be a great option as well for 100

The F4.6 is a bit better if you can get one of those.

The sh.28 5 port is a sick motor and goes for 125. (takes a little digging to get that price but they are out there. WHen you search search for the lrp.28 and losi 454 as they are all the same)

hmmm I wouldnt mind having one of those, do the engines come with clutch shoes and bell already installed?

nope, but your clutch set of your old engine should work

meh I only have two clutch shoes, if I order from that sick hobbies site I can get all of the stock 4.6 setup and 3 clutch shoes for 18 bucks so its kinda worth it to upgrade lol
