Gona break in my new motor this weekend. I just want to be careful because I don't have my temp gun with me. Are the needle setting from factory good for break in?

and I'm also goin to be using sidewinder 30%. I was told it would be fine to break it in on 30%.

i think the stock settings from factory for break in are set to flush ... if not set them to flush and adjust idle if nesacary to hold a smooth idle... and its best to pre heat the engine with a blow dryer first so it starts easy with less pinch and preasure on the pull cord so it don't snap the cord...good luck hope this helped ... happy bashn...

I'm pretty sure engines normally come set for break-in but I would wait until you make sure YOUR engine is at the factory break-in settings before you run it. I'm sure someone on here can help you with the proper break-in settings for that motor. I thought I heard of most people using lesser nitro % fuels for break-in but I've only done two engines and I used 20% on both and that was fine. Good luck!

only thing i can add is what i do personally "and I'm no engine expert" i always put a few drops of after run oil in a new engine before turning it over for the first time to lubricate it first, not sure if its necessary but i figure its better then turning it over with dry and unlubricated internals!! just a thought!......
