need help with lrp breakin

alright so heres my problem. i just got the lrp z.28r spec 3 and i installed the rotostart kit for it but when the rotostart turns the engine it also turns the wheels and i did one tank on it and the wheels were spinning but when i tryed to put the truck on the ground it would cut out the engine...any suggestions note: ive also done a second tank with the savage on a brick

Sounds like your clutch shoes are "locked" onto the clutch bell. Check those first and make sure they are not hanging up anywhere and are not worn out. The easiest way to check is to see if your clutch bell spins free or not. If you have the X-style easy access center diff, just remove the top half and spin the clutch bell. It's easies to remove the top half of the trans then the motor and have to reset gear mesh.

How do i "Unlock" them from the clutch bell and what problem from above would this be causing

tap on the clutch bell .. if that don't work pull engine and check shoes

thanks for the help pulled apart the clutch and i didnt install the shoes properly
