Last night I blew a hole through my block. Not quite sure what happened but I do know that I need a new mill.

I'm looking for suggestions from you guys based on your experience and know how. What is the sickest motor on the market right know that will fit my Savage X? Obviously I'm also concerned reliability and ease of tune-ability. I wanted the 5.9 but I was told from Hpi that I will have to wait at least two months and I'm not willing to wait.
 
I use the Picco .28P3 and love it!! I have around 4 gallons through it and have had no problems with it. its easy to tune, very reliable, and makes lots of power!! I have not used the LRP, but I have heard very good things.
 
I just put the LRP in mine 2 weeks ago and the power is unreal. Its almost impossible to keep the front wheels on the ground. It even wheelies when its shifts to second and I don't have it completely tuned yet. I can only imagine what it would do with a 3 speed. Check out the SMFstore for the LRP, Bruce is great to deal with.
Just my 2cents.
 
Whats the difference between the Picco and the Jammin? Can you put a rotor start on either? What about the Force .32?

I guess I should mention that I want a engine that is a direct fit and parts will be readily available.

What about the STS?

I guess its down to the Axial .32, LRP Spec 3, STS, Picco (or Jammin) and the OS 30vg. Again your input on all the above mentioned will be greatly appreciated.

sts has pretty much dissapeared... from what ive heard, axial's customer service is horrible. the lrp is a sweet engine, and i haven't seen a picco yet.
 
Sadly STS seems to have gone out of business. But I highly recommend the D30M if you can find one, I love mine.

The one thing I noticed about the OS is that it has a two year warranty.
Is the LRP Spec 3 a direct fit in the savage x?
 
So I went down to my LHS today and he has a K4.6 HO Engine in stock. Your thoughts on this engine?
