alright guys, i have the f4.6, with somewhere between 4 and 5 gallons on it. i think I'm starting to loose my pinch. i know i haven't been the easiest on this engine, i didnt use ARO ( i know I'm dumb) for the first gallon, and sparsley, at best after that. I KNOW ITS WRONG, BUT I WAS NITRO NUB! so anyways, my engine is pretty easy to roll over, and it seems to make this gurgley noise as i roll it over. its also not holding a tune very well, i am constantly (and failing) trying to adjust the carb...

HELPZORS PLATX!!!

Look out for the pin on the crankshaft, mine acted the same way until it snapped, although I had 6 1/2 gallons on it

Definatly not an air leak. its sealed. i know its sealed cus it was running good a gallon ago when i sealed it. I'm pretty sure its just my crappy maintenance and overheating once or twice that got to it.

What I would do is take apart the motor, make sure everything is in order. If you notice something wrong like piston/sleeve, crankshaft pin, etc replace or fix as best as possible. And if you don't feel like fixing, RUN HER TO THE GROUND.

well i was out messin with it, and the HSN is good, now i just gotta play with the lsn a bit, it sort of chokes out when i hit the throttle. other than that, running a solid 220*-250* running it full bore for a whole tank, in HUGE circles got it to 280*. its running sort of good as long as i keep it moving.

AFTER RUN OIL ,by not useing it you can lose your pinch .? is it caused by dry starts????? good to know this.....

i prime the engine. so i don't thin it has a dry start, but the way its lookin, I'm gonna have to go to the first natonal bank of stealing my money and take a loan out to fix the 1:1 truck, and do some extra work to it.

I never use after run oil either and I have never had a problem with mine and it has over heated on my many times around 310 its shuts off and with in 30 secs it fires right back up richin it up and bash it more but I'm using blue thunder 20% so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Good luck

well all i know personally is when i ran a quart of blue thunder in my savage x my temps went nuts and it had always been consistent before, it was getting really hot then when i had used up all the blue thunder and went back to my usual morgans backyard basher my temps were right back to normal (230-240) so it had to be the fuel as i didnt touch the needles or anything!!!

I used half a gallon of blue thunder and my temps went way to high....so I gave the rest away to someone I don't like at my local track...lol :motorcycle:
back to byrons and all back to normal....my advice stay away from blue thunder, blue fuel looks cool but is the opposite (HOT)!!

@ikesavage this is getting off topic but bryons gen 2 is awsome stuff.

@ Dread hows it going any better? Or is she still going down hill.
