here is my thought on whether to run your engine dry after use or not. well the only reason I hear and read on why to is....

reason not to would be, puts stress on motor untill it turns off = to running very lean. leaving a residue on moisture behind.

so why do it? i see no positive side to it. a bit of AFO i can't see being a bad idea but why run the motor till dry.

answers?

Well the truth is, the motor will actually die before it burns all the residue out of the motor. Running them out of fuel is hard on the sleeve and piston both. It's better to just refuel or stall the motor. If you instantly cut the fuel (pinching the fuel line) you reduce many strokes of lean running, and it is better for the motor in the long run. Personally, I never run my engines out of fuel. To me, it just doesn't make sense.
