mid range needle

ok i took my savage out today and it went up the road and stalled and wouldnt start than i noticed that the mid range needle was missing. i don't know how it came out but its gone did anyone else have the problem of it coming out and can you order just the screw?

forgot to add the motor is a k4.6 big block

I've never had the mid needle come out. I would think loctite should do it's job on this needle. You won't be adjusting it anyways. It should always be flush with the housing.

when you get a new mid needle, set it flush and put rtv on it. the mid needles on axials and k blocks like to work themselves loose.

alright i just picked one up and what is rtv?

RTV is a high temp silcone that you get at an auto parts store. Most people here use it to seal their engines.

ok i will try get some tomorrow and do i put it on the treads?

no just put it on the outside covering up the entire screw head, it will hold it in place just fine. Good luck and happy Bashing.

I used to have the same prob and Allen gave the right answer for ya never had a problem again after sealing it in with rtv.......
