I bought a HPI E-Firestorm on eBay on the 23rd of December. I got a killer deal on it, and i paid the same day like i always do. So I just kind of forget about it because i know that shipping inst going to be fast around the holidays (he used parcel post on top of that!!!). The beginning of January rolls around, and I start to get concerned that I haven't heard anything from the guy about shipping, he printed a label through pay pal, and that hasn't updated since i got the email. I sent him a message through eBay on Wednesday and didn't hear anything from him. I sent another one yesterday morning, and when i hadn't heard from him by last night around 10, i filed a dispute with pay pal. So far i haven't heard anything, so i sent him and email this morning directly to his email, telling him that if i haven't heard from him by Monday night (i work all day Monday) i will be filing a claim on him.

What do you guys think? should i give him some more time or what?
the guy has 100% positive (only 30something) on eBay, so i figured it was safe. i guess i was wrong. The really upsetting part is that the next cheap new one is $40 more plus shipping.
:frustrated:

Absolutely your approaching this correctly. On the other hand I hope the seller isn't trying to pull some scam. Doing business on Ebay has become more difficult but the couple times I have had issues with a seller Ebay and Paypal both helped in getting the matter resolved and did. The problem is, is that the effort now comes from you ( the buyer ) in having to pursue this. To me it's wasted energy that could have been spent on something more useful. Wish Ya the best and in a timely manner.

Your doing things correctly. You have given him many chances to contact you back with several emails to him. I would have to say that I would give him till Monday and file the claim. What can ya do!

File the claim immediately. He has 5 days to respond or the money is refunded by paypal in full. I just did this last week, because the dude did not reply to paypal at all in the 5 days. Make sure to read his feedback, you cant leave negative feedback on sellers alot of times. So if you get in there and look, there might be a bunch of neutral feedback with negative comments attached to them, but it wont reduce the sellers overall rating.

He may not contact you, however you are being the bigger person and giving him the time to respond along with the benefit of the doubt.

Also, make sure you take action before 30 or so days otherwise your stuck.

Na I think you filed just fine. You gave him some time, I mean he could have been in the hospital who knows. But please go deeper by the end of the week.

Noticed the item is in Sparks nevada!!!

My girlfrends Brothers live in Carson City .. like 20 miles away .. A visit might be in store for this guy ..lol

Good news and bad news. Apparantly the guy has shipped the truck, but the PO lost it. He says he didnt get anywheres with the USPS 800 number, so he is going into the PO tomorrow to get it straightened out.

i didnt. he responded in the dispute conversation area. i asked him on the message i sent him, but he hasn't posted a reply yet. still prolly isnt getting positive feedback....
