.Alot of engines will get that 1/2 tank lean syndrome .

It has to do more with the stock tank you run as opposed to the engine.

I know but people were getting that problem with their stock engines as well. Has something to do with the fuel tank baffles and the back pressure coming back through the pipe. People solved this by either getting a different tank or converting to the mid-tank.

My stock 5.9 was having 1/2 tank lean problem and had a very high running temp. This mill is very different from the stock one and other mills I've run in the past . I had a terrible time with my Picco .26 red dot in my revo . This is a very nice combo / the savage xl and the lrp z28 . The z28 is basically a drop in for the savage .

I agree. It's a very nice engine but if you did the mid tank mod your 1/2 tank lean issue would disappear.

Tank 3 down and still purring like a kitten .
The half tank lean is an issue pretty new to me . I'm no expert by any means .
I'm just very pleased with this mill and the savage truck as well . A few more tanks and I'll be able to let her rip .
